Training and consulting in
metrology and component cleanliness
Proficiency Test Provider
The Project
Our focus is to support companies and laboratories in the growth of internal skills in Quality area, in particular regarding the Metrology function and the Component Cleanliness Analysis.
We do it by offering training courses and consultancy for the problem solving in process management, measuring process management, component cleanliness and proficiency tests.
As far as the metrology function is concerned we use the ISO 1012 methodology with ISO 14253, MSA and Lean production integrated techniques also internationaly.
For manufacturing companies and testing or calibration laboratories we implement incisive integrated management systems according to the ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards with a Lean production perspective.
We offer an all- round advice regarding the component cleanliness analylis according to the ISO 16232 and VDA19 standards. We support the company in all the cleanliness process steps, from the quantification of the suitable componente cleanliness degree, to process and logistic management; from the cleanliness point of view, passing through the laboratory analysis and system audit for a “clean” production process.
We support organizasions for international interlaboratories comparisons, in particular calibration laboratory, following the guide lines reported in the ISO 1743 standard.

What does metrology means?
For the International Vocabulary of Metrology (VIM), metrology is the science of measurement and its application and includes all theoretical and practical aspects of measurement, whatever the measurement uncertainty and field of application. “Measurement” is the process of experimentally obtaining one or more quantity values that can reasonably be attributed to a quantity.
Therefor measurement processes are important for any aspect of our live, but they become fundamental when it comes to controlling business processes both from a production and qualitative point of view.
So, managing the metrological function with competence allows anyone to know and improve every business process, the fundamental purpose of any Quality management system.
Whath Does Components Cleanliness Means
In the automotive and electronics industry, even the slightest contamination of particulate on components, or parts of them, can affect the performance of the entire system.
If we think of the automotive industry, we see that there are parts which are particularly vulnerable to contamination, such as the filtering system; or the electronics industry, where contamination on circuit boards or connectors can cause dangerous short circuits. It is therefore vital for industries to monitor their sources of contamination and manage this information through a contamination management system.
The cleaning of components, therefore, plays a central role in modern quality control, both for the control of the internal production the suppliers one.
